As we prepare for our holiest days in the calendar, National Council of Jewish Women is mobilizing the Jewish Community to advance abortion access.

Join the Week of Action with a new opportunity every day — from lobbying your representatives or sharing abortion stories to hosting a Sho-test or sending an appreciation postcard to your local abortion providers.

DAY 1

SHOFAR PROTEST

SHOFAR PROTEST

Are you ready to sound the call for restored and expanded access to abortion in 5783?
Let’s all blow the shofar as a wake-up call to our people and the nation.

Get your community together, contact local leaders and clergy, and put together a big local gathering OR gather in a park, at a courthouse, in your living room, or any other place.

If hosting isn’t in the cards for you right now, no problem! Sho-tests will be sprouting up all over the country. Grab your Jews for Abortion Access signs and join in.

DAY 2

LOBBY CONGRESS

LOBBY CONGRESS

It’s time to tell Congress to support the SAD Act! And we’re doing it together on Wednesday, September 14.

DAY 3

TELL YOUR STORY

TELL YOUR STORY

As abortion access is under siege, it is more important than ever before to share our abortion stories.

National Council of Jewish Women has partnered with the Jewish Women’s Archive (JWA) to collect all kinds of abortion stories — abortions you yourself experienced, how your reproductive health journey (like IVF, miscarriage, stillbirth, etc.) impacts your understanding of what’s at stake with abortion access, or your connection to abortion access through your support and advocacy.

DAY 4

SEND APPRECIATION

SEND APPRECIATION

Take a moment to thank providers for their dedication, compassion, resilience, and courage.

Gather your friends and favorite art supplies (markers, crayons, brushes, and dare we suggest... glitter)! Get together, decorate, and fill out these postcards, then send or deliver them to your local clinics.
